The Rep Programme
Our Representative Allstar (Rep) programme offers boys and girls between the ages of six and twenty the opportunity to play for teams that consistently challenge for honours at the Provincial Championships (OBAs). The 2003 Major Bantam 'AAA' team were National champions and the 2007 Major Mosquitos (below) have won the OBA's three consecutive years

Our programme is overseen by a 'Rep Committee' that chooses head coaches, allocates funds etc. All ages have elite AAA teams but there are also AA and select teams depending on the pool of players and availability of coaches. Some head coaches move up through the age groups with the same team, while others remain at the same age group and coach a different set of players each year.
All teams play a regular league season against other teams in Toronto (TBA) and nearby regions, beginning in May. Each season ends in playoffs, with the winner participating in the OBA championships. In addition, teams play in a selection of week-end tournaments in Ontario with some also participating in the USA
Teams typically compete in sixty games and have regular practices throughout the summer as well as off-season training
Along with Boys Baseball, NYBA is a province-leader in the development and success of Girls' Baseball. We typically field Girls' teams at all three competitive age levels - PeeWee, Bantam and Women's. Our 2004 Girl's Bantam team won their COGBL playoffs, the OBAs and the Ontario Summer Games! Six girls from this team were also selected to the Team Ontario squad that won the Bantam Girl's National Championships in Sherbrooke, QC
Parent involvement is significant not just in providing transport and encouragement but also in acting as assistant coaches, scorers, first-aider and other management roles. It is time-consuming but rewarding
If you have a child with ability who wishes to reach his/her full potential and have a lot of fun, we encourage you to investigate playing Rep ball at North York
